Mohammed AlSharefeen is currently a professor and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Shariaat Al-albayt University, Jordan. He worked as a lecturer at a number of academic institutions across the Middle East for over 13 years. As a well-published scholar and avid promoter of the moderate interpretation of Islam and proponent of dialogue, he has given lectures, presentations and speeches, has been featured on radio and TV shows, serves as a Friday Sermon preacher, marriage counselor and mediator. He is an active scholar who has published over 70 papers, books and newspaper articles in addition to supervising and critiquing 80 Masters and PhD dissertations and theses. His research focuses mainly on revisiting Islamic scripts and synthesizing instruments and propositions relating to a wide array of areas including palliative care, women rights, intellectual and cultural resilience, extremism, human rights, performance and effectiveness, motivation, dialogue, and communication skills. Professor Alsharefeen has spoken at a number of American and British universities on issues relating to interreligious dialogue and Islamic manuscripts. He was selected for study at the U.S. Institute on Religious Pluralism. Recently, he was selected as a panelist at the Pluralism Symposium organized by the General Iftaa Departments, Jordan.
