If you want to go fast, go alone - but if you want to go far, go together

Senior Advisor on Dialogue and Peacebuilding at Danmission

Andreas Dybkjaer-Andersson (he/him) is the International Director at Areopagos, a 100-year old Norwegian-Danish(-Swedish) organization working with interreligious dialogue (IRD) in Northern Europe, Asia and MENA, including with dialogue centres and programmes.

Andreas has studied theology (Christian, with religious studies; Sweden-Denmark) focusing on religion, peace and conflict. Also, he has studied International Development Studies (London, UK), is trained at e.g. Center for Action and Contemplation (US) and by the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers (Switzerland).

Andreas has previously worked in Danmission (a 200-year old missionary society) as Senior Advisor for Dialogue and Peacebuilding (Africa, Asia and the Middle East) and as Country Director (Myanmar; incl. IRD programmes). He has worked with IRD, diapraxis and intrafaith dialogue for Ecumenical Youth and the National Council of Churches in Denmark and international programmes of the Danish Youth Council, Save the Children Denmark and ActionAid Denmark.

Though Andreas is not (yet) ordained, he enjoys to work in the overlapping field of religion, dialogue, peacebuilding and social change. Well-facilitated IRD (in Europe, India, the Middle East) was very important to him. It made him want to work in this field himself.
