The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) was pleased to support the twelfth annual charity event ‘Ambassadors in Concert (AiC)’ organized by the diplomatic corps in Vienna. This year’s event was co-organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, a member of KAICIID’s Council of Parties. The concert was held in the Brahms-Saal of the renowned Musikverein, one of Austria’s most prestigious concert halls, under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Mr. Sebastian Kurz, and Dr. Michael Häupl, city Mayor and regional Governor of Vienna.

AiC is a living acknowledgement of Vienna as an international city of culture and music. Experienced senior diplomats, accompanied by professional musicians, gather once a year to perform in the Musikverein. Upon the initiative of KAICIID, Orwa Saleh, Syrian composer and Oud-virtuoso performed at this year’s concert.

The proceeds from the concert will benefit the NGO ‘SOS Kinderdorf’ (SOS Children's Villages International). Originally founded in Austria, ‘SOS Kinderdorf’ has been active for more than 60 years in 132 countries assisting disadvantaged children. In recent years, a particular focus was placed on helping unaccompanied children refugees.
