KAICIID BoD Condemns Attacks in Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, the Philippines and the United Kingdom
The Board of Directors of the International Dialogue Centre - consisting of representatives of five religions - Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism - issued today this statement following the attacks that occurred in Tehran on 7 June 2017:
“Shaken and incensed by the continuing violence of the past weeks driven by the criminal manipulation of religious beliefs, we express our condolences to the families of the innocent victims and the injured caused by the inexcusable attacks in Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, the Philippines and the United Kingdom.”
“Under no circumstances will we cease to condemn any violence in the name of religion. All religions condemn violence.”
