The COVID-19 pandemic and its far-reaching impacts have not diminished the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Rather, they have served to focus all of us on the reality that we are a global community – that the challenges faced by humanity and the environment are a concern for everyone, regardless of ethnicity, culture or beliefs.
We have seen that governments and societies can take dramatic action when called upon. We are learning very quickly that the SDGs are not only aspirational: they are essential to the survival of humanity and the future of our planet.
Held in December 2019, the Dialogue4SDGs conference invited KAICIID's Fellows and other guests to explore Goal 4, 5, 16 and 17 through the lens of interreligious dialogue.
