An Introduction to KAICIID

The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) is a unique International Organization which brings together religious leaders, policymakers, and experts with the aim of finding common solutions to shared problems. Our vision is a world where there is respect, understanding, and cooperation among people, justice, peace and reconciliation, and an end to the abuse of religion to justify oppression, violence, and conflict.

We are a diverse team of dedicated professionals who deliver impactful results across the globe.

The KAICIID Programme Division

The primary objective of the Programme Division is to create the conditions, platforms and environment through which religious leaders and other actors, in particular policy makers, can engage in constructive dialogue, thus strengthening mutual understanding and respect.

The KAICIID Europe Region Programme

Within the KAICIID Programme Division, the Europe Region Programme leverages interreligious and intercultural dialogue to strengthen social cohesion and reconciliation across the 46 Council of Europe countries. We provide safe, dynamic spaces to address challenges related to identity, discrimination, and exclusion based on ethnic, cultural, and religious factors. Our goal is to build trust, promote understanding, and foster belonging, with a focus on marginalized groups, including religious and ethnic minorities, refugees, migrants, youth, and women from fragile contexts.

Through interreligious platforms, capacity-building, and grant-making, we empower individuals and communities, establish networks, and build coalitions that support fair and cohesive societies upholding human dignity. Launched in 2019, the Network for Dialogue (N4D) unites faith-based actors and dialogue practitioners across Europe to foster inclusive societies where refugees and migrants are valued. KAICIID provides N4D members with capacity-building in dialogue, supports grassroots initiatives, and facilitates knowledge exchange to enhance two-way integration policies and practices, embodying the ideal of “unity in diversity.”
